"Some teachers are really great. I was a teachers pet so I had a great experience. Basically if you do your work and try, you get along better with the teachers."

"What makes this school unique is its very family based. It's k12 so older siblings are there with their 5 year old siblings. Seniors can take off class and watch their younger siblings have field day. Homecoming week, all grade levels get to watch a parade together and be together. Seniors and juniors also get to aid and volunteer with elementary classes for school credit and volunteer credits for scholarships. Also, most of the teachers there were students there as well. Everyone knows everyone and whenever someone is having rough times like a loss or someone goes missing we all band together as a family. I lived in Crestview and to this day I still see Baker as my home. I can't explain it, it's just home. It's where my heart belongs."

"I went to this school to get away from my bullies I had in elementary school. It's the best decision I made. I made lifelong friends I'm still in touch with today, I learned to stand up for myself & others around me (including teachers sometimes). I became more confident when before I was shy. I gained weight where before I was 40 lbs but was 80 when I graduated, meaning I was healthier. I was also happier. My first year there I made a 6 on the Okaloosa Writes test - the highest score possible. I had always made 4s (average in the years before I attended Baker) & a 6 on the FCAT writes in my 7th grade year-only one other student had the same feat. I did my own thing & didn't care what others thought. I dyed my hair blue & listened to metal -my first year there I was bullied for listening to metal, the next year everyone (including my bullies) listened to metal & I became Prom Queen my senior year based on the 1st vote through all middle & high school grades. Based on that first vote out of all the seniors, not just the top 4. It was a fairytale ending for me & the best 7 years of my life. I'm a better person today because of it. I also reached my lifelong goal of making straight A's at that school & carried on that ability into college- 4.0 GPA my freshman year."

"Normal separation of students. It all depends on the school activities and if they see each other in other settings outside of school."

"I love my friends. Dual enrollment options have helped me prepare for my future goals."
