"We are not returning and have given it great thought this summer. We are not happy with the new principal. This was a great school and could be again under new leadership. The middle school teachers are wonderful and communicates with parents. We feel that public school is going to give our child a better education. We have not had any communication with our child's teacher and in public school this is not allowed. We have friends that have left OSCS. Some in public and in other Catholic schools in this area and do not have this problem and are happy with the leadership at their schools. They have never looked back. Would come back if there is a new principal."

"My kids attended public school before we moved them to OSCS. While they had great teachers at the schools they attended they always struggled, felt discouraged and hated school. The school system wasted time with endless unproductive meetings and paperwork while we watched our kids hurt, fall behind, and loose their confidence. Our experience at OSCS sharply contrasts with our public school experience. . We find the staff to be professional, skilled and dedicated. They never give up. Mr. Hitchcock is an excellent administrator. He is receptive to parents and he is kind. The two years that our kids have been at OSCS have been a blessing to our family. Our children are getting the support they need when they need it. They are different kids today because of the loving learning environment that we have only found at OSCS. They have regained their confidence and are at or above grade level in every subject. We are proud to have our children here."

"My children attend OSCS and we are very pleased with both the teachers and the principal. My children are in a safe, compassionate environment that nurtures them both academically and as individuals. My family is very happy with the principal, Mr. Hitchcock. I am sorry he has been given such negative comments on this site as he has been working hard towards improving our school. We are a great family at OSCS! I love having my children (myself too) around positive, well-grounded people so hopefully with some of the negativity leaving we can fill that with positives. I highly recommend this school!"

"Great school being run into the ground faster than a freight train! The amazing staff and children are suffering due to the new principles tactics. The diocese simply advises parents to remove their children if they are unhappy. Parents are then bullied by the principle stating he will contact other schools to keep them from being enrolled. Lack of safety is the main issue. Working parents are not aware and parents on property want to protect the school as a whole so they do not speak up. These issues are growing and current families are leaving rapidly even to the extent of homeschooling. Multiple incidents have occurred on the playground ending with children requiring medical attention that could have been avoided with proper staffing. There are no reported incidents in the cafeteria but with only untrained volunteers to assist the children it is only a matter of time. There is a much more serious issue but out of concern for the children I do not want to expose the open threat. The bottom line is that the principle is a bully who discriminates against disabled children seeing them only as a liability and is more concerned about financial gain than the safety of the children."

"Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach is...mine. I planned this in '95. My hope, faith, and prayer are answered about this school and parish. Thank You GOD.I wish many happy times ahead and heartfelt condolences to those that cannot agree that their own hope and prayers haven't been-aren't answered here at OSS, and that they leave here. I am sure you folks wish me and my family well, so, "back-off " your hysterical ways and ' ..move on'. I wish you would reflect on just how many multi-generational families send-spend money, to come here. Perhaps, let's talk about it. I have mentioned at parent meetings, I am happy that my wish that this school continue a perspective in being a tool of Catholic learning and stay small enrollment. I spoke this, at those meetings here at OSS, that the best of schools in the big-old cities of years ago and still to this day, would have a Diocesan doctrine taught and relished (by being extremely expensive so only the few could attend-therefore keeping enrollment low) by only those few wise families that can see the childlike purpose in teaching them-these kids- in a small grade school and not to worry it needs to be a social medium for mommy-daddies."
