"All the good teachers are gone, and all the principal cares about is STEM. He says weird things at mass and won't say hi to you unless you're in the gifted program. At mass he walked right by me and went directly to the ALPHA students. The assistant principal is nice, but the principal tries too hard to be the center of attention. Our athletic director left so the sports program is messed up and so did the athletic trainer. I'm scared for next year because I don't know what teachers will be there!"

"What a shame. How quickly one man can DESTROY a school. In 5 years, Dr. Jose Rodelgo-Bueno has managed to get over 100 teachers and staff members to LEAVE! Incredible. Dr. Rodelgo-Bueno was FIRED from the Archdiocese of Miami and FIRED from Christopher Columbus High School and now he's the principal of a school? From what I hear, the faculty, staff, and students are looking forward to when he will be FIRED from this school. What used to make St. Brendan High School special - a school where ALL students were loved, respected, and fit in - is gone. There is NO alumni connection and he has gotten rid of all the parental involvement as well. There is no service, there is no faith. Let's not even talk about the FAKE ACADEMIES. But there's a beautiful new building. As an alum, I was hoping to send my kids to my alma mater. But as long as Dr. Rodelgo-Bueno is principal, I will NOT. And I know of MANY parents who will be looking elsewhere as well."

"I am a recent alumna from St. Brendan High School (Class of 2017!!). I enjoyed spending the past four years here, making new friends and meeting new teachers. St. Brendan High School will always be my second home!"

"Transferring into the school my sophomore year was the best decision ever. I really grew in this school. It was a wonderful experience and I wouldn't change anything about it. It has room for improvement but what doesn't."

"This school is great for kids that need extra help and for average kids. However, the college counselors are barely available to help you with college applications and things pertaining to that, and it seems as though they don't really know what they're doing. Also, the administration is trying to turn the school into something it is not. They are trying to turn it into a STEM-based elite school when the students do not match this description. This limits the students' potentials and takes away a lot of fun from the high school experience. Teachers are mostly o.k. A few are great, specifically Mrs. Alvarez, Mr. Cofi o, Mr. Del Toro, and Mr. Martinez-Ramos."
