"This school started out really well, and I still love it because I feel like it accepts anyone who wants to get in. But it also takes people who don't want to be there, and those students tend to make it very clear that they do not want to be there. Every year it seems the new class is trying to degrade the positives of the school, and spirits are dropping rapidly. Academic-wise, however, it is a very good school."

"This school is filled with anyone you could think of. The campus is always alive and have some activity going on. The faculty is friendly and will always do what is important to get the students passing and on the right path for the future. No kid is left behind at this school and everyone is included. There are tons of clubs that connect to every kids interest. This school make sure it gives academic opportunities and tons of extracurriculars through the AICE program, Arts program, and Dual Enrollment."

"The acting program is truly excellent here. Better food and better facilities would be great. Overall the school is friendly and all the teachers care deeply about their students."

"I had a mediocre experience with this school. Recently, the orchestra program and band program have gotten little (to any) funding, but most of it has come out of our own pockets as musicians. There are little to no black people, I know this firsthand because I am black and I can count all the black people I see on one hand. The clubs are okay, but they have little funding and no one is motivated. North tries to compete nationally with its scores and stuff but it really is a hole-in-the-wall country school trying to become urban. Last year, we had a problem with racially-motivated vandalism on the softball field. (Some ingrate decided to spray paint the n-word on the dugout.) Then, there was this incident with a driver that had two huge--I mean huge--Confederate flags waving proudly from her truck. Well, hell. It didn't fail to make the black students feel like crap for trying to experience an arts school because they felt qualified. They aren't wanted here."
