"Teachers up and through the fourth grade are very caring. Unfortunately, the middle school teachers change frequently throughout the year due to teacher reassignments and failures. They tell students to "keep your parents out of your schooling, we are in charge whenever parents express concern over their child's education". Many of the teachers have little to no expertise in the exact subjects they are teaching due to this turnover and failures of administration. Scholastic books are not prevalent at the school, rather print outs from the internet are used. Students are bored as they are teaching content that was taught in the 3rd and 4th grade. Previous middle school parents had voiced these concerns about the middle school, just wish we had listened before our child had to endure."

"Teachers are below average at this school"

"A good school through the 4th grade. Unfortunately, the middle school has been a failure for many, many years. Admission Directors for local high schools have all said that The Village School is known for their grading to not match up with their student's testing. Many students are required to get outside help to just get their child ready for high school. Teachers are changed numerous times throughout the year (year in and year out) as a result of teacher failings and school decisions. This leads to no stability for the students and negatively impacts their learning. With their focus currently on their new High School, even more lack of focus has become evident. Hopefully, the school leadership's ego to grow does not ruin the good parts of the school through the 4th grade. The school focuses on performing arts instead of higher learning needs to change in order to develop a positive middle school for the sake of its' students. There are many better choices, both private and public, for middle schools in the area. A new leader of the school who focuses on academic success instead of fostering an environment of fear and favoritism would be extremely beneficial for the school."
