"Its a pretty good school overall, but staffing needs to be better along with the passion that teachers have for teaching abd wanting their studebts to succeed."

"My experience at Daleville High School is a roller coaster. I am currently in my 11th grade year and it is way beyond terrible. Most of the teachers have nasty attitudes. It is like they don't care about our education. For instance, I asked my teacher a simple question about the subject she was teaching about. I guess she thought that was an "obvious" question so she made fun of me and said "Do you really need help? You should've learned this in the 3rd grade!" Why would a teacher say that to a student who is just trying to learn? Not all of the teachers are like this though. I love my History and AP Lang teachers. They're wonderful. One major thing I would like to see change at Daleville High School is the teaching staff."

"I am the only openly gay guy at my school. I only have 4 friends. I do not learn much in my classes. I do not have any good memories from this school and I honestly hate going to this school. There are not many clubs and sports. The lunch is terrible. The school is behind on involving technology in the learning experience."

"The quality of teachers ranges from very good to very poor. I have a few good teachers, and my school is hiring more better teachers, but there are still many teachers that do not actually teach. Most teachers are not enthusiastic and they seem to only be at school for their paycheck."

"During the time at this school, I learned that to only "fit in" is to have a "backbone," as some call it. Most of my friends and I feel no challenge in classes, in some cases do nothing at all. The lunch isn't great, there have been cases where there were mold on the food, but all they've said was to exchange it out for another. Expired chips, also have been replaced by another expired one. These things tell me that the staff here feels indifferent about the students that are enrolled in the school system. Other than those, the school has excellent extracurricular programs such as the JROTC and the Pride of the South Band. I feel that the only factor that makes this school "okay" are these programs. Even so, if I could do it all over, I would not come back to this school. The learning experience here gives me a premonition that I will be very behind in my undergraduate studies compared to those who've attended other schools in other states."
