"All classes that Hume-Fogg offers are challenging because the students there expect a challenge. The workload can be majorly overwhelming, especially if one is a new student, but as time goes by the large workload becomes something that some students can handle without a second thought, while others truly struggle with it. The teachers know this, but sometimes they will not give relief because it is their job to prepare and guide us for these challenges and that is why the differing teaching styles between teachers is an academic gain."

"Throughout the years, attending this school had been a dream. Some of Hume-Fogg student's great experiences can be linked to its unique location. It is a magnificent building resembling a castle in the middle of the heart of Nashville, which is filled with culture. Some of the best perks to attending this this school other than the stellar educational opportunities, is the trips that some classes take around the downtown area such as the Frist, TPAC, and Nashville Public Library to further our education."

"I strongly believe that no one at this school has been terribly ashamed of who they are, what they look like, or what they believe in. A large majority of students accept all people and their differences, but we will not hesitate to participate in an educational and civil discussion about controversial topics."

"Really accepting and diverse environment. However, if you're a conservative, you're a minority and might get flack from other students. Strong LGBT+ presence and support, easily ignorable peer pressure, and very little racism from the student body (we did have an issue last year involving a teacher). Many students are politically active, go to marches, work for political candidates, and vote."

"I've been very fortunate to get really good teachers who teach well, are passionate and knowledgeable about their subject, and are nice people to talk to outside of class. Sadly, I know that not a lot of the students would share my views as many do not seem to care for the school. It really brings down the schools environment for me and makes me feel uncomfortable to participate in class when most of the students are not bothering to pay attention, lack respect for the teachers, and complain that the teachers do not like them when they are constantly being rude and never do their work. While I would choose this school again for the higher education and wonderful teachers I've had, the poor learning environment is a bit of a deal-breaker for me."
