"Signal Mountain High School has some of the best teachers who prepare for students for college well. The IB program offers students the unique opportunity to be more globally minded and earn college credits. There is a high expectation for students to be academically successful that can be stressful, but overall beneficial."

"Signal Mountain Middle/High School is not just an average high school. Combining all of the high level courses that they offer with the excellent teaching, I couldn't imagine that there is a public high school that could prepare me more for my future."

"I like how much the teachers care about each and every student. The problem with SMMHS is the lack of diversity in terms of academics. I decided not to take International Baccalaureate course because I prefer advanced placement courses. But SMMHS simply does not offer this due to I.B. and A.P. being competitive companies and I.B. makes more money. I am left with little options to be intellectually challenged and have college readiness simply because I do not want to hundreds of dollars each year for courses that do not offer college credit."

"There are great teachers that push you, but want you to do well. we have IB classes which supposedly prepare you for college. Honestly, they are just annoying and a bit pointless in my opinion. It is very safe though with a good atmosphere. Something that needs to change here is being able to have AP classes in junior and senior year. Not everyone wants to take IB."

"I have attended SMMHS for 5 years, and plan to finish out my high school career here. The teachers are helpful when I don't understand something, and our school is very unique"
