"There were some events that were great and really got me enthusiastic about being involved, but most of the time, the students had to fight just to get our ideas off the ground. The arts are very important to me, and if we wanted to have any sort of artistic event, it took endless hours of hard work and worrying to even get the idea off the ground. Very little funding is put into anything besides the athletics programs, and that was always infuriating to me. I think that the unfair balance definitely helped me prepare for the real world, but if I could do it all again, I would choose to attend a different school. I think in a lot of ways I was grossly under prepared to start college, and if I had had some classes that cared more about what I was learning than what my test score ended up being, I would have been in a much better situation after graduation."

"There are a few great educators at TPHS, but there are also a lot of areas in which I felt they really lacked. A lot of those that taught required, important courses just scraped by, and spent the rest of their time standing in the halls gossiping either with each other or with their favorite students. There is an attitude of favoritism that definitely causes problems. As the school is in such a small town, a lot of the students, staff, and teachers are either related or have known each other all their lives. This causes problems, because the teachers often give these students whatever they want and then actually enforce the rules on everyone else."

"All the teachers try their best to help students to learn what they need to know. Most teachers usually know what they are talking about and are very fun about their lessons."

"The teachers are very dedicated and love to help students earn a better education. A few of the staff however are quite rude. There was unfortunately little involvement in school activities that were not related to the FFA or the school's athletic teams by parents and even some teachers and staff."
