"I only attended University School for my highschool years (9th grade to 12th grade). I had a really great experience. At the school, I felt I had more opportunities to receive the most out of my education and get ahead now that I am in college. They offer opportunities like dual enrollment classes in actual college classrooms and the staff is always available to help. They care that you do great in the classroom and beyond high school."

"I like the small class sizes and being able to get more one on one help. I wish the school had more classes that's offered."

"University School has been a great schooling experience. It has smaller class sizes which really allows you to interact with your teacher. The academics are probably the best that you will find in Tennessee, which is born out in our test scores. The administration is very helpful in working with you and preparing you for college. Also, given that UH is right on ETSU's campus, it is very easy for you to dual enroll and start getting college credits. UH even offers a free ACT test session for Juniors. If you are planning on moving to Tennessee and you have the option, University School is the way to go."

"I have enjoyed going to school here. I like how there are projects that connect students of different grade levels. The school is small enough that you will know almost everyone. There are few enough students that cliques don't tend to solidify, since almost everyone is in multiple groups/activities. There have been changes in the administration and the school environment has become much more positive. There are several teachers who have been some of the most inspiring people I have met. Overall I have found the instructors to be a very supportive community. The main drawback to the school is that there are limited resources and classes due to its small size. Most students have to change at least one class each year from their preferred schedule. However, once students are juniors and seniors they can dual enroll at ETSU and there are many more options. Overall, the support and connection I have had far outweighs the drawbacks of University School s size."

"This school is a challenging college prep school, but the teachers make the course work clear and easy to understand, despite its advanced level. As a recent alumna of this school, I can testify that this school thoroughly prepares you for college. The teachers care about the students and seek to create quality learning environments. The size of the school allows for small classes and a close knit community among the students."
