"Some teachers are great but others are just there because of politics and don't help the students at all."

"Most teachers are really open to helping the students, but unfortunately, very few students actually use their resources. Just by talking to my teachers before and after class I received several amazing recommendation letters. All of them are very accommodating, with of course the exception of a few."

"If I had to do it over again, I would have transferred to a local public high school when I had the chance. While, yes, the academics are good, the whole experience was very lackluster and superficial. Everyone was more concerned with the sporting events and socializing during class that there was never really genuine learning going on. Also, the guidance counselors were very one-track minded when it came to colleges. I feel as though I would have had more opportunities elsewhere. If you can't follow a crowd of people, don't come here."

"The school provides a great Christian environment while also creating a well balanced learning environment. The downsides are the differing opinions about Christianity and the students who mock those who do believe or vise versa."

"I liked it! I really did. It was cool. Favorite parts: The 8th grade retreat is to die for. Words can't describe the beauty and wonder that is felt at Chapel. Spiritual Emphasis Week is always my favorite!! I love it with passion. CAK's Bible department has provided me with an excellent foundation. Students are taught how to stand up for their faith. Students don't only believe in God because just their parents did; they believe it because of the truth that their faith and walk with God is. The teachers are loving and incredible! Other teachers do not compare! CAK has a uniform-like dress code. I actually like it. I think uniforms are very helpful. There's a Fine Arts Council that substantially excels the funding, spending, and growth of the fine arts departments. The Theatre dept is AMAZING! They have an excellent football program (2 times state champs). Cheerleading = phenomenal...esp. if you want to improve your social status or whatever. And the other sports are great, too! I transferred to a different high school 4x CAKs size b/c of the wide range of classes at a larger school. I feel like at the larger school I transferred to, I have more opportunities. I dislike the small school social atmosphere. It's like living in a small town. I prefer my "big city" high school of 2,000 students. My new high school is a public school. It's basically the opposite of CAK. Teachers aren't quite as loving or helpful like the CAK teachers. I've learned that CAK's curriculum is 10,000x more rigorous than the public school curriculum. If your child is academically struggling at a public school, DON'T send them to CAK! They'll have 6-8 classes/day, and most will impose homework - *hours* of it. On another note, parents who pay for the school expect a lot from the students, and so the students do better. The students listen better, work harder, and study more. - Also, CAK only promotes UT & small private Christian colleges for graduating students. Yeah. :P"
