"I liked that Overton High School was a decent school that had education as a number one priority for the entire school. One thing I would have wished to have changed while at Overton would have been the uniform. I felt it was unnecessary and we didn't need to have it while other schools didn't. I felt it was unnecessary and that the consequences while out of uniform were petty and unnecessary. It also interrupted education time when redirected or confronted about it."

"Overton isn't the best school. There's no point in lying about it and trying to make my school seem as if it's the best. However, what Overton does have is opportunity. Opportunity to have a successful future as long as you are willing to put forth the work. Overton also seeks to improve the school continuously, which will be a journey, but I believe they will continue to inspire students in the next generations to come."

"What I liked most about Overton High School is its diversity. There are people of all types of races present at Overton. What I would like to see change is the treatment of the facilities (restrooms, etc.)."

"I liked the opportunities that I was given to increase my musical ability. They offered many programs, from band to jazz band, and it has helped me become a much better musician. The administration was okay, however, they did everything in their ability to help us. There was an overall environment of enjoyment and opportunity."

"The way the faculty administer at Overton the students could change. It is as if the teachers just come to work to get their paycheck. Just last year, the school was denoted about a maggot in the food. The fruits and milk could be fresher and the meats should not be as processed as they are. I don't feel as if the State is providing our school with foods that are not well for our growing bodies. The engagement of the students could be extremely higher. I feel that the school won't provide enough engaging activities for the students; whether those activities involve college readiness or school spirit. Our facilities are not properly taken care of by GCA. Students use the restrooms about 0-1 times a day because the restrooms give off a horrid smell of feces, there is never soap provided soap, the toilets are never cleaned properly, and the floors are filthy."
