"This school preps students to deal with the perils of college. The classes are challenging but not too difficult. The teachers are motivated to help their students. They truly do their best to help push their students to succeed at the next level"

"I went to school here as did both my siblings and my dad, aunts and uncles. The school facilities are top notch. The science rooms are excellent, the asthetics are beautiful, and they spared no cost in the athletic buildings either. This being said, I think that the the administration cared more about if he teacher was an alum than if they were highly interested and qualified. Also the parents and administration do everything for the students while they merely show up every day. Lastly, the students do get great standardized test scores because they put such a stress on these exams (probably because public schools do get funding for scores)."

"The academics are great. There are many AP classes to take and most classes a high school student might want, we have. If you're athletic, religious, popular, and conservative, you'll feel right at home. If not, you'll definitely feel like an outsider until you find a friend group. It seems as if only a select few clubs get recognition, and preferential treatment is given to some athletes"

"Highlands HS has the best education system in Kentucky and the U.S. With a diverse array of extra-curricular activities, including a strong Theatre program and a Student Feminist Alliance, Highlands emphasizes involvement. It encourages AP classes and the rigor is beyond any other school, something that promotes college-readiness and hard work."
