"The teachers are very caring towards their students. There are many clubs and organizations, however many are lacking. The school is also very underfunded in the arts department."

"Very kind and helpful teachers. Principle is so engaged and invested in making sure each student gets the proper education. Could definitely use upgrades such as new desks and newer books."

"There are many things I love about my high school. The teachers take the time to make sure you understand the material being taught. There's only one thing I would change and that's the punishments. A lot of students get away with many things and it's not fair to others."

"Shelby Valley High School isn't just a school, it's a home. It's a place near and dear to 90% of every person who chooses to go here and go themselves a wildcat. Are we perfect? No, just like every other school in the world we have great kids but we also have the worst. But thankfully, we have so many great kids, that is just completely drowns out the bad. We are a blessed school who encourages each other in everything we do and in everything we do, we encourage each other to put God above all else. Greg Napier is the best principal any school could ever imagine having. I mean it's not all about the money in his eyes, it's about his kids(students). He wants the best for us all as individuals, not as a group. He sits us down individually and talks with us to figure out where we are and where he wants us to be. He truly is a caring and loving man, that has brought our school further than its been in a long time and he's only been here five years. That says a lot. But if you choose to come to this school whether you are an incoming freshman or a transfer, you will not regret it because we are the best school in the state!"
