"Overall, I have had a great time at this school so far. I have had good experiences with almost all the people and the sciences courses at Sale High School are pretty cool as well. They are very hands on courses and have lots of lab work. I have never been to any other school but I would say if I could do it all over, I'd still go Salem High School to be with the amazing staff members, such as the science teachers."

"I have been taught so much information because of these teachers. Without them I may not have even learned some life lessons that I have for the future. They are helpful when students are struggling and try to give as much help as possible. These teachers put in so much effort into their job, from getting to school early to staying late hours, and also coming up with activities to help the students' learning."

"Since I've been hospitalized for my depression and my anxiety, it's been a serious struggle trying to get caught back up in school. However, all my teachers always tried as hard as they could to ensure that my work was made up not only correctly, but that I wasn't stressing out about it. They worked with me, my parents, the counselors, and grading deadlines to make sure everyone was in sync with each other. Not only did they go above in communicating with me, they also showed me different methods of teaching due to these odd circumstances. Since I was so far behind, they would teach me the major things, then go back in for details, which is different from other teachers at different schools. They used references and gave me access to resources to help me out as well. One of the teachers I know for sure is one of the best was a college professor at a big college here in Indiana, but I don't remember which. Others have a lot of experience as middle-aged people who aren't new but aren't burned out. their quality and knowledge is very impressive for the small town I live in. Grading is very consistent due to the accuracy of the students' work. Instead of grading things quickly, teachers here are very good at looking at each child's work individually and grading them based on their answers, not the average answers. Their knowledge doesn't span just from typical knowledge taught in colleges, but with life as well. Due to my serious struggles in school, my teachers took extra time to see how I was doing and to offer some advice from their own experiences with life. They find ways to relate, they truly care about you, and they use their own life experiences of themselves and their families to help out other students and not just me."

"I love how this school keeps the arts alive. I'm not a painter or that kind of drawing art, but I am a theater and singing artsy type. The art class here engages in painting murals at our school and having art shows on parents' night. Choir students like myself go on many trips to sing, compete, and even just for the fun of singing. Every year we do some popular songs from a time period and the best singers are showcased in them. I've done everything from 50s music to 80s, 90s, and soon 2000s. It's a great cultural experience, seeing as we use music from all around the world. Theater is also a big part of my life. Although most of my time is spent at my community theater, I do really love our drama program because everyone supports each other and truly cares about the success of everyone else, minus the negative effects like the competition to get the biggest role. I would definitely choose this school for my child. Even though the parents aren't the best, a lot of kids turn out pretty okay. You can easily find your fit of kids in our atmosphere around us."

"I was born and raised in Salem, its where my family went. I wouldn't have it any other way but to be a Salem Lion. Me being someone who enjoys school I love it here. But the parents in our school could care less about the kids in it. My parents have always pushed me to be my best and because of that I always push my classmates to be the best they can be because I know that they aren't getting it at home."
