"Other than the previous stated reasons, I would rate my school experience a B- or C+. I tried to not include basic high school drama in my rating. In all honesty, I have only had a couple classes that I have subsequent to my future. These classes include any history based classes, auto classes, psychology, sociology and choir. Beyond the classes took during my high school years, I have also had a wonderful experience in the resource or special needs classroom. I have not visited other high schools, so I am unaware if they have a program like ours. I cannot begin to explain how happy walking in to that room makes me. When you walk in there, all judgments go away, you are flooded with love from the students, and you cannot help but to smile. Whenever I see some of them out of school, I always make sure to say hello and give a hug. I can honestly say I have no clue whether I would attend McCutcheon again. Don't get me wrong, it is meant to be good environment, but something is off about it. You walk through the halls and it's not so friendly, it is kind of intimidating actually. Students give you rude looks if you aren't like them, teachers are ALWAYS breathing over your neck, and you always have that one sheriff who makes you feel uncomfortable. I know all schools have their flaws, but I feel like if a student does not feel comfortable at school, then how are they supposed to learn and retain the information?"

"I think all schools have their good teachers and bad teachers. Throughout my four years of high school, I have only had a few teachers that I either could not follow, get along with, or feel as if I could approach when a question needed to be asked. Overall, the teachers at McCutcheon are good at what they do. The only downfall to this is, while some teachers are amazing, others just care about putting all the information out on the table and assume you get it in one try. Not saying teachers are counselors, but if you see a student in distraught or acting odd, talk to them. I feel like the teachers do care about the students, but they kind of stay in a secure bubble of not "intruding". One thing that I disliked about going to McCutcheon is that I felt like if you were not in any sports or extra-curricular activities, then they don't recognize you. I get you should be actively involved in your school, but it is just not for some people. Some people either are not the sporty type of person or their schedule is already full. Other than these few flaws, I would have to say McCutcheon's teachers are well rounded teachers."

"So the "hicks" mash with the "jocks". The "outcast" ride along with the "white trash". The black students usually stick within their group with an occasional white student who feels more comfortable or accepted within the social group. You have the "band geeks", who for the most part talk and interact with other "band geeks" because people at McCutcheon kind of see them as an outcast type crowd. Then you have the "preps", cheerleaders, dancers, and color guard members. For the most part, they stay in their social class and talk to the "jocks" and "hicks". There are the "party people" who are the people you want to hangout with on Friday or Saturday nights, but do not want to be seen with in school due to the fact you don't want that "druggy" label. The party people can either stick with each other or class hop. As for the Hispanics/Latinos, they stick together no matter what. Occasionally, they will mix in with the black students."

"I think we as a school have a wide variety of classes offered. Like I said my favorite classes are any history, choir, psych., soc., child development and/or auto related classes. I have already discussed how I feel about the teachers. I don't have time in my schedule to come to after school study sessions and am way to tired to wake up that early in the morning. I think for the most part, the classes we take for required classes are okay. I think the classes I have listed above should also be required, along with money based classes that teach you about the real world."

"Many of the teachers at my school do a great job at teaching. There are also a handful of teachers who will stay with you after school, for however long it takes, until you understand the material. Technology has become a huge part of society and, as much as some teachers prefer older methods of teaching, most of the staff has begun incorporating computers and websites and other forms of technology into their classes. The teachers at my school are always very knowledgeable about the subject they teach and even other subjects."
