"Classes at Fordson do present students with challenges. Teachers follow a strict curriculum and make students responsible for what they do. Most normal classes at Fordson could be passes with an A with some effort. Harder classes, however, like honors-level or AP classes (the ones I'm taking) can pose a significant challenge. AP classes are indeed treated as college-level classes (like they should be), and it's not very easy to get an A in them. In general, the academic set up of the school is very comprehensive, providing paths for every type of student."

"The teachers at Fordson are extremely dedicated and work overtime all the time to ensure our success. They are very dedicated to help us succeed. This is especially true for the AP teachers. There are great AP teachers that work really hard to help us get those 4s and 5s."

"Most teachers at my school are very sincere and want to help their students. They are consistent in their grading as well. Most are also very knowledgable int their subject and have an engaging, vibrant way of running their class. Some, however, may not be very approachable to students. Although they'd love to help students, they have a hard time building a friendly relationship with their students. Some teachers also are not very experienced in dealing with bad behaving students and controlling their class in general."

"Students at Fordson are generally very welcoming. Acceptance is not a major issue in honors and AP level classes. Most students there come from relatively educated backgrounds and agree on common goals with other classmates. Students in normal level classes however can be a little bit teasing. Some underclassmen hence do fall to peer pressure sometimes. There aren't many challenges to ethnic/ racial/ sexual diversity since most students at Fordson come from an Arab background and not very diverse sexual orientations. Often times however jokes are thrown around that target a specific country in the Arab world. For example, a Lebanese boy may throw a joke at a Yemeni kid. Student involvement in school activities is great, although most of these participating students come from the higher-educational level classes (honors, AP). Overall, Fordson students are constituents of one big family and are connected one way or another."

"The school is very diverse and there are a lot of different people from different backgrounds. A lot of the students participate in activities that help with peer involvement and inclusion and aiding the newcomers and freshman into the high school."
