"This school is unique being that it is an IB diploma program school, and the classes are very rigorous. However, despite the work, the teachers at this school are absolutely amazing and legitimately care about our well being and success. All of the IB classes and tests are just teaching me how to work hard, and will greatly impact me in a positive way for college."

"I've had a pretty good experience so far, and I hope to accomplish more awesome things. What makes this school unique is the fact that the UAIS is considered the #1 school in Michigan because of its rigorous course. I'm proud to say that I attend this school. I'm glad I chose this school and would choose it again because of the preparation it will give me and the amazing teachers here. I definitely recommend students to come here, if they're willing to challenge themselves. My favorite experiences include Japanese class and the Winter/Summer Olympics. The Olympics include a bunch of fun activities that all students are able to participate in. It's also for students to just relax and get their minds off of homework. I love it!"

"I really like the UAIS because it ethnically diverse, which is different many other public schools. The students here are very involved with clubs, especially Key Club and put in a lot of effort to what they do. There is little or no peer pressure among the students. I have to say though there are challenges regarding ethnic/racial diversity. Many of the studnets are very intelligent and it can be challenging because they way they think may be completely different from what another person can think. As a result, it sometimes leads to debates in class."

"I love the way the teachers here teach. They all care about their students and put an effort to talk with you one on one. They also offer you to re-test on something that you did bad on. Our school motto is, "Embrace failure," and I have to say they really do promote that. The teachers here have a very good knowledge and interest in the lessons they teach. It's very engaging and enjoyable. We have many Socratic Circles in class and it has definitely been helpful."

"Although we get a lot of workload, it's very beneficial to us students. It will definitely prepare students for college. The teachers here are amazing and I say this because they focus on each student individually. We have something called an AMES meeting, where each students visits there there assigned AMES advisor to discuss about school and hardships. Two popular classes include Japanese and Psychology."
