"The school has sadly been in rough shape. We have had many of our teachers quite in the middle of the year and our academics are nothing to be proud of. I have learned a lot but sadly most of the kids are cruel and do not apply themselves. Although it has its problems I really like going to Lakeville. It is where I grew up and made friends."

"My overall experience was one to never forget. Attending high school changed me immensely as a person. Having the opportunities to be in the band and play on a variety of athletic teams gave me the work ethic and self-confidence I thought I would never have. The staff make you feel right at home everyday and you never feel left out. Lakeville High School is a very advanced organization for being in a small town rural area and i would recommend anyone to go there or have their own children attend."

"Lakeville is a fantastic small school. The great part of lakevillet is everyone knows everybody. We are all one big family and in a time of trouble we are there to support eachother. The teachers aaways have time to work with the students when they do not hesitate to help out. The teachers and staff are a great encouragment and always trying to help make the school better. Like every school there are issues though. The passing time between classes is short so, depending on how far away your next class and locker is reflects whether or not you have rush to class to get there on time. The lockers are also small and it is hard to keep organized and pack all of our stuff in them at the same time. Our school also has a lack of funds that restricts our ability to fix the technology and get the new books we need."

"When I was in 7th grade, I was bored to tears. It was getting to the point that I didn't even want to attend school anymore. We were already most of the way through the first semester of the school year, and still reviewing in my math class! My mother could see that I was struggling and contacted my math teacher. They decided to give me a placement test to find out what I was capable of and by the end of the week, I was going to the high school to for Algebra I. Since then I have tested out of the first semester of Algebra I, passed Algebra II with the highest score in the class, tested out of geometry (with a 98% which was higher than anyone who took the class), and maintained an "A" with a 98% or higher throughout the year in trigonometry as a freshman. None of that would have happened if that one teacher had ignored my mother and just kept dishing out the standard assignments."

"For the most part the teachers are quite knowledgeable and many remember their students years after having them in class. As always, there are a few exceptions, such as the math teacher who, when asked for help with a concept, told my sister she liked her nails and walked away. This same teacher would spend most of class gazing at her phone or computer. There are others that are willing to put in lots of extra time, such as our band director. Our school was nominated to participate in the Nation's 4th of July parade in Washington D.C. and he's been doing hours of fundraising as well as rehearsals and marching practice so we can participate in this honor. Overall, I believe an education is what you, the student, make of it. If you want more, you have to be willing to reach out and grab it."
