"My overall experience at this school was alright. I participated in activities while attending. However, for those students who had a well-known "name" or had a parent who worked in the school system were highly favored. I'm sure this is what it's like everywhere though. It just made those of us who weren't "popular" in their eyes, work that much harder and more apt to survive in another city if we choose to leave this town. I feel like those who had things handed to them will find it an eye-opener when attending college because they will be treated just like "everyone else"...and most likely, move right back after college to feel important again...and that's okay..."

"Our school offers Honors classes and AP classes. I think the AP classes are helpful most of the time. I feel like it's important to have a teacher who is very knowledgeable and outgoing to teach these courses because if they aren't then we won't learn what we need to in order to pass the final college exam. This happened to me in one class. I took this classes with intentions of passing the final exam but found it disappointing to see a lot of topics on the exam I wasn't even familiar with. I was impressed with my counselor throughout high school. He was always on the ball with keeping me informed."

"Most of the teachers really stand out with their ability to teach their subject in a way that is easy to understand. These teachers also go out of their way to help students who may be struggling. They treat the students with respect and get it in return. Sometimes, I feel certain teachers aren't teaching us what is probably taught in other schools... I've been taking a foreign language for 5 years and I feel like I am not where I should be but it's hard for the teacher who has 1 class teaching Spanish 1-5 at the same time."
