"Most teachers were fantastic, the remaining were okay. I enjoyed the athletic program that Shelby High School offered."

"In Shelby High School I enjoyed that as a small school the teachers knew each student individually. To them we weren't just more names on a piece of paper we were students. This made it a more enjoyable environment. One thing that I would change about the school is that there isn't much time to get from place to place. A majority of the time I am rushing to not be late for my class."

"The small setting is really nice to get the one on one with your teachers. You truly get to know them as a person, then you start to appreciate all they do inside and outside of class. But that small town does very little to prepare you for the real world. It's a drastic change going from a graduating class of 91 to an average class size in one semester of 125 kids. It's a competitive world and you might be top in the small pond, but the big lake is no match."

"I like the availability to dual enrollment. I was able to take 10 dual enrolled classes during my 4 years here. It helped prepare me for college. I disliked the lack of diversity within the high school courses. There were few options."

"My experience so far has been alright. Some warming though most of the students may be a bit snobbish especial those of the Caucasian race. I feel like just because they succeed academically at school they feel a bit above everyone. Still I really liked the teachers."
