"Many teachers were laid back but were also still straightforward when it came to teaching."

"Liked the school but it was really based and focused around sports. Mostly the football team."

"The logical choice: East and West are practically the same school, but with two football teams, two ___ sport teams, etc. DONT TAKE DUEL ENROLLMENT ITS NOT WORTH IT APs are, duel enroll isn't, also DON"T take 2 reading APs at the same time -APUSH, WORLD, LIT ~PSYCH, ~LANG results may vary, I'm atypical, you know you Only one ChemClub(that no one knows about), one Orchestra(we all complain, but we all know that [] trying to be strict is the only thing that keeps the program together - unless you're an internet lurker, you know that there is only one Orchestra teacher for 3 Orchestras and all of the programs), one Robotics Team, one of a few other things that I have never heard about. -Test out is only available for F, S, J - There goes my 1.25 hr dream of graduating H.S. w/ 30+ credits - I am a loner, even when I'm social, I'm social by myself - 8/10 practicing in [] room during 2nd lunch and eating in 5th hour, seeking violinist to inherit the second Violin Storage Closet that everyone and [] is too lazy to open even when understanding the benefits, talk to [](band student) who eats there too, he's a good kid (-1 no clock in room) (-1 dumb kids knock on doors, don't know if its someone who actually needs to get in) (+- the stands are BAND stands, bad for sheet music, good for food tables) (+- don't know how to play tuned piano, let alone broken piano) -Stopped riding the bus as soon as I could- kids get worse every year(youTubers are bad influences on your kids), bus tags are annoying -Parent Involvement- No clue, the dance parents are pretty involved, and I sure the football games are packed. Who shows up at concerts? Parents. Who shows up at sports meets? I don't, but I'm sure the parents do(and teachers/coaches). -Parent Influence- Parents are trump cards - unless they disagree with you, or the school isn't willing to concede (obscure point here)"

"!Disclaimer: I am one of -those- students, who simply do not understand the plight of the masses! short AP plug b/c rant space -GPA -College Credit -Shows Effort -Still Easy or Still Hard -Same material, better order, better classmate resources -Get away from "don't even care if they graduate" crowd Most kids don't stay after school to talk to their teachers, ask for help, or even bring it up in class unless during an assignment review period. Students showing up at NHS tutoring session TUE and THU at west(though east and west are practically the same school, and a student could technically get teacher/high achieving student help everyday of the week) : it's rare. Very rare. So rare, that you are almost guaranteed tutoring by two of the best students(they may not actually be good at teaching). I have loitered around after last hour, waiting for the end of day mob to subside, and noticed that some students ask their teachers for life counseling, I usually just do my homework in a quite, well lit area, but I have never so much as heard of a student staying after school to speak about school work - it may be that these are AP teachers and that it is unnecessary, but it would only take a few seconds to ask, or even discretely send an email. From Apathetic to Your Life's Cheerleader, the teachers are very much involved in sports/clubs/life counseling -it's just that you've never heard of the clubs- When it comes to Be. N.I.C.E. and student apathy, I personally feel that a great deal of credibility is lost among the "general" students because general students never see any involvement - Not enough "PROOF" to send problem children away, students with personal problems keep them as personal problems - maybe shared with a teacher or counselor, and OH NO WAY ANY OF MY STUDENTS COULD EVER DO SUCH A THING, I KNOW ALL OF YOU ARE GREAT. Personally I bug all of my teachers about career choice, but when it comes to it: it's the students that seek help who get it."

"My teachers know what they are doing and what they are teaching. My teachers are sure to ask students how they are and make sure they are doing okay in and outside of school. Sometimes the communication skills can be a little off, they will often change due dates to work and not notify us students- not often, but sometimes."
