"Newman is a great place to learn. The teachers are very friendly but also strive to make you a better student. They work very hard to help prepare you for college."

"In general, all the teachers do are complain about their paychecks and force the students to learn everything independently. There are only a few teachers that actually go in front of the class and give a lesson. Most teachers couldn't care less, and classes like Spanish make their tests out of such few points that even missing one point would cause you to fail. Also, the grading scale is ten times harder than the public school system's. And the AP classes aren't graded on a college scale, they are on the school's, so the kids that are trying to actually learn something and challenge themselves are being screwed over in their GPAs. So it basically promotes to do the least amount possible to get by. The harder classes aren't weighted differently either, so there's no motivation or reward to take the harder courses. Only a few teachers are available after school and the ones that are are the ones that give completion points for everything. The only reason that I go to this school is because of the small classes. Otherwise, you just pay a lot of money for a terrible experience."

"I loved going to this school. It helped prepare me for college, set me up with connections, led me to great friendships with my teachers, and just a great culture."

"I believe that the teachers are very passionate in the subject they teach, it is a small class so they get to know the students well, they helped us whenever we needed help, and more."

"I had the choice of transferring schools but I stayed at Newman because I felt like I was a member of a family there. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to make sure students are cared for and are getting the best education they can. I loved being able to celebrate my Catholic faith at school. I loved all of the wonderful music, athletic and extra curricular programs they offered."
