"Overall, this is a good school district. Everybody knows everybody and this allows the teachers and faculty to get to know the students on a deeper level than a big school would allow. Like all schools, there are a few areas that need work on. Some faculty seem to be involved in too many areas and are not always there when the students need them."

"Our school has many college credit class opportunities, but we do nothing for informing the students about the real world's problems. We have a 0 bullying tolerance rule, but it's rarely enforced, and a select number of the staff do not do their jobs well. However, the small class sizes enable the students to really get to know everyone, as well as their teachers which is very important. There are also a great number of teachers that are the redeeming staff members of the school, as they go above and beyond."

"I've lived and gone to the Elkhart Lakes school systems since I first started back in Junior Kindergarten; at first I liked coming to school because then I would get to meet up with my friends and have fun. Once we started getting into the first grade I would get bullied by my so called friends; it was mostly name calling because of my height and from how I though about things. I was bullied because I was different from everyone else. When middle school started I became defensive about everything that was said to me because I was so used to the bullying from back in elementary and to the beginning of middle school (4th grade to 8th grade). High school is a different story for me; in elkhart lake, everyone knows everyone so when something happens words gets spread around fast. I am currently a junior but going onto being a senior in high school; being in this school to me means that I a coming into a 'hell hole'. I have considered switching into a different local high school but because of money problems I can't. I talked to a teacher at this other school and she asked me if what people are like at elkhart is true. She asked if everyone were as big of @$$holes as they claim to be; I said it was the truth because it is. I may be one student at a small high school; but getting bullied by at least a quarter of my peers who think they are better because they are on the sports teams and have more than others; hurts me because I knew these people before they because stuck up @$$holes. Yes I focused on the negatives. but I'm just one opinion"
