"New Glarus High School is a wonderful school filled with various options of classes including several advanced placement courses. Sports are highly honored in this small community as well as FFA. Teachers are great and willing to devote extra time to be sure you understand new concepts. My experience at New Glarus has been rewarding and I feel I have had a well rounded education."

"There is a mix of different sexual orientations but student's reactions to these differing sexual orientations is not always positive. Many students have a problem, or are rude to students of a sexual orientation that differs from "straight." African-American students may feel out of place in a predominantly white school. There is peer pressure of drugs and alcohol more to students who are not involved in sports, students who are in sports are usually well in staying away from drugs and alcohol/illegal activities."

"The small town feel was incorporated in the school, making everyone close whether freshman or senior. Sporting events were usually a great experience, besides limitations on cheering from the WIAA. If I could do it over I would probably go to a different high school that would've prepared me better for college."

"Teachers are not as serious as they should be about education. Deadlines are never set in stone, so if students don't get their work done, there is usually little to no punishment, creating an ongoing cycle of students not getting their work done. Many teachers talk about other students while they are not around, gossiping, setting a bad example towards an age group who already struggles with this."
