"Some of the teachers are very good. The best part is the college credit classes."

"Academics at Spectrum are an absolute joke. While the school brags about their concurrent enrollment program, and college-preparatory courses, the truth is that Spectrum's classes often fail to live up to what they say they are. The "college-readiness" programs at Spectrum are a joke, taught by teachers who are out of touch with the current college experience and prefer to teach their own private methods of test-prep topics instead of actual college-readiness. Moreover, concurrent enrollment classes at Spectrum rule the curriculum, and students who do not wish to partake in this program will run out of classes to take by the end of their sophomore year. Spectrum only offers 3 AP classes in total, and discourages students from enrolling in PSEO options, preferring them to instead go through Spectrum's corrupt concurrent enrollment system. Finally, the workload at Spectrum is unbelievable. Students are actually driven out of the school because they cannot handle the insane amount of busy work assigned by teachers every night. Spectrum claims to assign insane amounts of homework because they are a "college-prep" school; however, the workload is far worse at Spectrum than any of the surrounding colleges."

"There are a lot of really good teachers, but there are also some bad ones. It also doesn't help that so many teachers leave every year."

"There are a few great teachers. The teaching style that the school implemented for everyone did not work well for some people, but the school still forced it. The sports are improving. Many students are very studious, but there are many that are not interested."
