"The teachers at Winona State are incredibly knowledgable in their area of study. You can ask virtually any question and they know the answer. I feel that I am getting a very good education through highly trained professors. Teaching styles are pretty stationary and resemble a lecture, which works for my style of learning. They present material in class, discuss it, and then encourage us to dig deeper into the topics whether it be by research, by reading the textbook, or hands on experience in a laboratory. There is good communication between teachers and the students through email and a computer program called D2L. They can post assignments, grades, and announcements in D2L to let students know updates. There is consistency in the time it takes to grade assignments, and it's relatively fast. Teachers show interest in students and encourage us to come to their designated office hours to discuss material we may be confused about or talking about a recent test."

"Most of the academics are really great, as are the teachers, but the health classes are really not good."

"I feel that I am getting a very good education at Winona State. The teachers all at minimum a master's degrees and, more often than not, a doctorate. The curriculum is intriguing and exciting to engage in. The scheduling process is relatively easy, depending on when you register. The workload can be pretty full at times, and there is usually a lot of reading for all of my classes. Some weeks it can be less, but usually it keeps you busy throughout the week. Popular classes you want to register for as soon as you can so they don't fill up."

"I loved Burnsville. It gives kids the opportunity to see the world from other people's perspective and they have a wide range of extracurriculars and sports to join. We have things ranging from Badminton to Nordic Skiing to Coloring Club."
