"The school was a very diverse place to learn about cultures and social problems due to the high school's varying communities. While the building is old and could use a new school the education was standard and a great cross to college. The activities at the high school were extremely focused on athletics, although my freshman year I was very grateful to be a part of a club connected to the Free the Children foundation that eventually spread across the US. This social justice group was amazing due to the fact that we were the first ones in the US and got to experience, learn, and teach others a lot about it."

"Tech caters to a certain type of person. If you enjoy sports and/ or keep up with sports you will probably not have any problems here."

"I liked that I understood many of the things my instructors were teaching. Since I was in advanced math classes, I was able to take my senior year off from math courses, and got to go home early. I was also an office assistant for the ladies in the Student Affairs Office, which was wonderful. I enjoyed my experience running passes to students, organizing papers, and visiting with them. All of my instructors clearly cared about me and my education, because they knew I enjoyed learning."

"In my four years at Tech High School I've seen it highs and lows. I thing that I've always noticed and stood out to me is the student involvement. The students are always involved in decisions about the school. such as voting in the school logo and paining the shack. Tech has a lot of history and the students who go there or went have a lot of pride. Tech does have it's fair share of problems though. It being so old brings a quite a few of them. The buildings are quite literally falling apart. There also isn't enough room to hold all the students it has. They've been using half of the library as classrooms; using a wall made of paper it separate them. There have been problems with the way teachers and staff handle the students. Hence the protests junior year. When the school wasn't handling its' problems. I never really saw a change that the protesters were asking for. I do believe they were and still are right to ask for it."
