"my daughter has been going to this school for a little over a month and everyday she comes home with a ton of homework (about 500 work pages since she has been there) i think its a little too much for a first grader! i dont feel that the teachers are doing their jobs , i feel that they send them homw with all the work and let the parents take the whole responsibility , not to mention my daughter has not been offered any extra help in the subjects that she is struggling with! i do as much as i can with my daughter but the fact of the matter is im not a teacher , thats why she goes to school to learn! im sure if they have programs for non speaking english children they should have help programs for children that already speak english!"

"Three of my children have attended Raymond Ellis and over the last couple of years with Mr. Prichard as principal the learning and learning experiences for my children have greatly increased. I also want to note that one of District 116's best educators, Mr. Hanson will teach your child to become life long learners! My daughter that struggled in the primary grades now comes home everyday with positive learning experiences that Mr. Hanson is teaching the students. My daughter now loves school and learning. Hats off to Mr. Hanson!"

"Level of parent involvement is non-existent. Despite this, my son recieved special education services that are top of the line (compared with Glenview, Palatine, and Mt. Prospect - not to say that they don't also have good services). I'm impressed with the friendly atmosphere that the staff displays when you enter the school, and am disappointed at hearing the lack of success the school has had in recent years."
