"Glenbard East is one of the most diverse high schools in the Chicago land area, in my opinion. We have a wide range of students from different countries, religious backgrounds, and financial statuses. The staff is predominantly white, but the students are diverse. The environment is also very welcoming to the different kinds of people that we see at Glenbard East."

"The school has a lot of school spirit, however, not a lot of students are involved in school spirit related activities. The good thing is that Glenbard East is so diverse that you get a taste of the real world. The variety of ethnic backgrounds, religious affiliations, and just personalities makes East a great place to learn."

"The academics at this school are pretty good. There is a good amount of classes so that students are challenged. The classes offered are made to have the students interests in mind so there is a lot of different classes covering different subjects. The teachers all have degrees in or relating to the subject they teach, so they are highly qualified to teach the subject that they do. The workload varies with each class, the regular classes have a light workload, and the AP courses have a rigorous curriculum and a heavy workload. This can be troubling for kids with multiple AP classes, but the counselors help with the scheduling process so as to make sure students have a study hall to lighten their caseload."

"The teachers at my school lead very engaging lessons. They do not do the classic sit and take notes, they have the students move around and do projects. It is evident that they love their job because of the amount of time and effort that they put into each and every student. Students can come to teachers with individual help, be it academic or personal."

"I believe when teachers push their students it helps students feel more confident, which can increase test performance."
