"There are a lot of great teachers here and some wonderful staff. Many teachers and administration pick favorites heavily, students who already are popular and well known, just so they can boost the student's opinion of them. There is a lot of politics around the music program (i.e. if your mom helps out at more events you are given the higher section position or a leadership position). It is very accepting and a great environment for people of color and LGBTQ students. There is a club for everyone and if you don't think so create one."

"If you are looking to get involved with the school community, Waubonsie presents many opportunities. There are clubs to match all sorts of interests as well as a strong athletics program. Speaking of the latter, there are many kinds of sports to chose from, and as an athlete, you would be expected to undergo serious training routines (which is a good thing). One of the more important aspects of a high school is college readiness. At Waubonsie, there were resources for students to find out about colleges that could make a good fit for them. For instance, you could talk with your councilor or even listen to a representative from a desired college who would visit our school to make an informative presentation. As a student, you must have an initiative to want to get yourself informed about college, however, as the only way I got to find out about these things is from other students, as opposed to my teachers."

"Waubonsie is not the best and not the worst. If you have no problems with your child you will probably skate through WVHS without much of an issue. The administration is poor at problem resolution. Very disrespectful in some cases, especially the principal. The math department at the school needs some revamping. Most kids in upper division math classes need to get a tutor in order to pass a class. There is a disconnect between what is being taught and what is on the test. The school does a great job at organized school events and activities and there is a great school spirit."

"The campus is very nice. There's a tutoring center available to everyone who needs it. Library access is easy. All of the professors I've had so far are great"
