"Our daughter attended kindergarten at Oak Elem. in 2008-09. Her kindergarten teacher has been teaching at Oak School for 29 years. Hinsdale schools have an advantage over other districts since they cap classroom sizes and do not exceed a certain number . We felt our daughter's kindergarten teacher was able to take a vested interest in examining our daughter's social, communication, language, writing, math, science/social studies and art skills. She had an outstanding music teacher and PE instructor. We felt her kindergarten teacher was experienced, phenominal and truly loved spending time with the children. Because her classroom was comprised of 16 children (including our daughter) and a full-time teacher's assistant, we knew Hinsdale was living up to its district standard of smaller class sizes. We feel our children will receive a top education through Hinsdale schools by receiving necessary attention & direction they require to be successful."

"Oak School has academic programs that excel, students whom enjoy and fulfill their childhood at Oak, and teachers and parents who are fully involved. With test scores that are some of the highest in the state and parent involvement, all of this enhances the experience at Oak School and makes the curriculum that much better. With all of these programs and involvement there is a guaranteed education that you will be impressed with your child and teachers. Most of all, the students have fun and enjoy their experience as a elementary schooler. GO HOOTIE! ~Claire Foster"

"Oak School has gone downhill from previous years although the new principal is a major improvement. A new superintendent would really help Oak and all of District 181 reclaim its glory."
