"I love going to this school. I have had some great experiences with new friends and the community as a whole. I think i have learned a lot about what i need to do to succeed in school and how to do so."

"Due to the large student population there is a great diversity in the student body as well as in the variety of classes and after school activities available. Some of my favorite experiences in high school were made through the school Science Olympiad team because of their amazing school and team spirit. For every tournament we have a theme and everyone dresses up and all of the amazing costumes make every tournament a success regardless of the results. The same applies to the school sports teams, at home games there is always a large turnout to support our team. I couldn't imagine going to a different school without this type of school spirit and if I had to choose I would go to LT again."

"The school offers a large variety of classes from a large variety of AP course to less popular courses for the students for the students who are interested such as geography and geology. The school also works hard to challenge its students. For example, when a smalll group of about a dozen junior students completed Calculus BC the school worked with a local community college (Moraine Valley) and this year are offering a semester of Linear Algebra followed by a semester of Calculus III to continue challenging these students. The scheduling process is also very simple and straightforward. About halfway through our 8th grade year everyone recieves an academic program guide which serves us for the next four years and recieves a form to fill out with the classes they would like to take the following year. Depending on the year in school parts of form will be filled in ahead of time with the required courses of the student following the path for that particular class (for example math, english, science, social studies, and a foreign language (depending on the one chosen)) but these courses can also be changed if the student wants to change levels or try something new. Depending on the class the workload is always reasonable. AP classes always have a greater workload than other classes, but this is to be expected since they prepare students for the AP exams in May."

"well the majority of people who are considered professors are okay teachers. Some of them are outgoing and try their best to help students succeed. Some others do not care whether their students are in class or even listening. They are just their to teach and then leave."

"The teachers have a variety of teaching styles ensuring there is always a teacher a student can turn to if they need anything explained in a different way in order to understand it better. They are always very engaged in class and very open to questions during the lessons and have a lot of knowledge to share on their own classes, even information that is not included in the textbook. During lessons they also make sure everyone is understanding the material before continuing and go above and beyond to help their students learn by making after school review sessions for tests, or making videos of more example problems so the students can get more practice, or meeting with a student to discuss a test they struggled with when it is inconsistent with their previous preformances."
