"I believe that the main problem here is that the teachers are not properly trained in classroom management and they often times loose control of their classrooms to the students. Unfortunately if a teacher looses control of the classroom then all else is lost no matter how good the teacher is they are unable to teach nor is the student able to learn. This I believe is the number one issue here. The second issue is that the teachers have tools to communicate with the parents online and they do not use it. They are supposed to update this system with student progress but this is not done and the principle does not monitor this. The last issue is one of grading. Students are given homework which they do turn in and then nothing the work is not graded and returned to the students leaving parents in the dark"

"While this school has many exciting after school programs, the academics leave much to be desired. There is too great an emphasis on special programs, i.e. Expeditionary Learning, and not enough strong curriculum content. The school climate is also extremely chaotic and behavior disruptions are a serious problem. I would not send my own child here."

"I have been very disappointed in Reavis, especially in the science area. Their science program has been lacking for the past few years since they lost an A+ science teacher. No science fair, no projects, nothing! The lack of creative arts is disappointing as well. Children need a creative outlet and it is not found here."
