"I just finished up freshman year at lane and couldnt be happier! Yeah the work is hard but in the end its worth it. Before starting high school, i was worried about the school being so big, and the huge student body. however, my mentors showed me that the upperclassmen are very nice. Very few judge you just because you're a freshman. everyday when i walk through lane i see all the sports awards hanging on the walls, which reminds me that thiis school really is the school of champions!"

"Lane Tech's Academic Center is GREAT. My son was in the inaugural 7th grade class and LOVED it. He was challenged, and supported not only by the teachers and staff, but also the upperclassmen. Its a great academically advanced program option for students on the north side, and all over the city. All classes are taught at the honors level and our son already had 2.5 high school credits by the end of this year. 7th grade extracurricular activities this first year included football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, track & field, cheerleading, chess, drama, debate, science olympiad, Latin Curtamen, math team, chess, and volleyball. More programs are being planned for next year already. They had their own formal dances and other social student events as well as a 7th grade trip to Springfield. Next year the 8th graders are off to Washington DC. Just an awesome program all around."

"I graduated from Lane in 2009, I Loved it!!! Those were the best years in my life so far. Drama Club, GSA and being apart of the mentoring program gave me so many memories. Some teachers weren't the best, but every school has that. I want to teach at Lane when I get done with school at DePaul. Just a great place to be, I always felt safe and I always wanted to go to school."

"Lane is a wonderful school. Students have so many classes and activities to chose from. The AP classes are challenging but students learn so much through them. Most teachers are very supportive as well as the community and other students. Some of its best qualitie's are that the school is diverse and the students very united."
