"continued In addition, the teachers have no sympathy for the students. The teachers never seem to communicate. They always schedule their tests within the same week or few days. When a student is being bullied and they tell the teacher the teacher completely disregards it and doesn't care. But still, they make the students sit through classes about bullying just to pretend they care. When there is a real situation to be addressed, they don't pay any attention to it whatsoever. The teachers have serious problems controlling their emotions. It is clear to the students when their teachers have been dumped recently. Also, the teachers have clearly been dating each other and cause very visual tension and make it awkward for the students and the other teachers. Although, there are a few teachers that students do like. This school is nowhere near diverse. In my class there is not one person that isn't white. To my surprise, the students aren't stuck up like typical white rich kids that go to Catholic schools. The children are very racist from the conversations that i have encountered with them. There is a lot of bullying going on. None of the students have respect for each other."

"Queen of Angels just received designation as a U.S. Department of Education's 2013 National Blue Ribbon School. As one of its Exemplary High Performing" schools, Q of A had to place in the top 15% of schools in the nation in both reading and math assessments. The team of great staff, students, and parents makes our school community vibrant and successful."

"There is a strong sense of community at this school and some great teachers, but unfortunately the administration is lacking leadership and creativity. The principal makes claims that the school can handle kids with special needs all the way to gifted, but it doesn't have the necessary resources or programs to ethically meet the needs of kids who need more support or enrichment. If you are considering the school, do your research by soliciting feedback from parents at all different grade levels to see if this school is right for your child. If you know your child needs special education or enrichment, I would not recommend Queen of Angels."

"Compared to other schools, the tuition is reasonable, but perhaps not worth it when your child enters high school and you realize they have a learning disability that could have been addressed in the early years of their academic career at Queens. No, instead, your child is called "flightly", ignored by the principal, also ignored are claims your child is being bullied by their peers, although it was addressed once, it continued. Mothers who act like high school girls and intimidate teachers, parents, and students in order to do what they will, not worth the tuition. There are some really great teachers, but not enough to outweigh the bad. You would think with such a small classroom size, they would be able to attend to the child who is struggling in, let's say math, instead of ignoring them. Overall, I love the Catholic education and the structure, but not the end result of my childs' education and lack of self esteem at their abilities just because a teacher didn't take the time to properly explain. Someone mentioned racism in a review and I completely agree."

"This school is really something special. The faculty puts in so much time and effort to keep up to date on current practices and how to best serve students. The parents are supportive and helpful. The administration allows teachers to make decisions in the classroom about how to best serve the kids. The kids are friendly, well-behaved, and excel in academics, athletics, and other areas. These kids wind up going to some of the best high schools in the city, and are genuinely cared for each and every step of the way. The faculty and staff deserve a round of applause for the commitment they show to all kids. Never is a kid considered a "lost cause," because someone is always able to reach that child or makes every single effort possible to do so. If more schools were like Queen of Angels, we would not have such an educational crisis on our hands."
