"The different lifestyles and backgrounds are very diverse. We have students who come from nothing and we have students who are very well off. I would say that there is a lot of peer pressure in my school. There is a lot of drug and other substance involvement. The acceptance of special needs students and gay/lesbian students is all across the spectrum. Some people still don't accept gay or lesbian people. Also, I feel that the school keeps the special needs students very separate; I feel like you never see them except for at one of our lunches. The challenges at our school are probably average. I don't know if this counts or not, but very few classrooms have air conditioning and it really affects our learning. For example both yesterday and today we got out at 11:20 when we normally get out at 3:00. The temperature is regularly 10 degrees hotter especialll on the third floor and it just makes it very hard to focus during 100 degree weather and 95% humidity"

"I do love my school because it offers so many great classes and many AP classes compared to other local high schools, but the parent involvement and student effort for probably 75% of the school is horrible and it is really sad. But since I am in all honors and AP classes I am always with the better students who have the better home lives and parent involvement and that has been really great."

"My School is very unique during the game most of the student go to all the games and support our team and cheer for them, then after the game we go to our opponents and shake their hands."

"The teacher I have are all honors and AP/Dual Enrollment, so this might not be the best example of all of the teachers throughout my school, but the ones that I have are great. They are always finding ways to incorporate new learning techniques into the classroom and are always there if I need them. In my opinion, they care a lot, but they care more for a student if said student respects and tries in his or her class. I love all of my classes this year so far and have a very optimistic view of this school year"
