"The teacher's are really good. They show interest in the students and several attend school/sporting events that they are not required to attend."

"I loved that my school provides opportunities and pays for a health occupational class. I was able to go to nearby towns and have different medical experiences - from going to different nursing homes and hospitals to orthodontic practices. I also had the opportunity to see a baby being born which influenced my medical choice. I would like to be an OB nurse."

"The academics at Cowden-Herrick, while easy to get A's in do not,for the most part, prepare students for college. The science program and English program do, but the math and history put students way behind when they start college."

"Cowden and Herrick is kind of like a low powered vacuum when it comes to students moving on to bigger and better things, it doesn't pick up everything but for the most part it gets the job done. Many students that graduate from here donor even attend college, much less move away once they have earned a degree. But the community is very tight knit and homely making it hard to leave behind"

"Most o the teachers are fairly enjoyable and know heir material very well, there are a few, however that need to be replaced in order for students to gain skills in the teacher's particular subjects"
