"My school offers a wide variety of classes on different levels - regular academic classes, honors and AP. All the teachers are good but the upper level teachers are exceptional."

"Our school has amazing resources to help us succeed. From the technology to the teachers, every student has the opportunity to learn and excel. A problem at the school is the drive the students have to learn and thrive in the outside world. Some students come with a passion for learning, while others come to school because they have to and are constantly failing. Our school is unique because we have students from every part of the globe. In every classroom you will see diversity. This is an advantage because in class we are able to learn about the different perspectives people have to offer. Overall, there are many ways to grow as a student."

"Hazelwood West High School is extremely diverse. There are students from over 32+ countries! The best part is that the environment is accepting, and people are open to learning about different cultures. We are able to use our differences for the positive rather the negative. In class, it's always interesting to understand the various perspectives on different ideas. Every school has peer pressure. It's based upon the student on how they deal with the situation. Yes, there is drug involvement. Yes, there are fights. But overall it's minimal. It's important to realize that these are all distractions that can be ignored, as they do not impact the quality of the education."

"About 40% of students participate in clubs, organizations and sports regularly throughout the school year while 50% join a club for awhile but then don't follow through or attend a few home sporting events each season. 10% of students don't do anything connected with school."
