"I like PHS. There are many organizations to choose from. I don't party and it is a party school. I just find students who are like me."

"I would choose this school again if given the choice because I genuinely think it's a great school and environment to be in. The classes offered are challenging and there are a lot of varieties to choose from and a lot of them involve real world situations."

"So I moved from Arkansas to Missouri the summer of the end of my sophomore year. I started Park Hill south my junior year and it was really tough. It was especially tough making friends, I literally only had my sister and even then only every other day at lunch because I had a different lunch every other day. In Arkansas, I attended a school where it was about half white and half Hispanic. Coming to Park Hill South was rough because it was a predominately white school and everyone already had their friend groups. I felt like I couldn't identify myself at that school, so I don't think I would go there if it were my choice."

"I think the scheduling process was tough. I felt like some of the classes I had to take weren't beneficial to me and they also interfered with other classes that I had wanted to take. Since I came to this school as an incoming junior, I struggled to accommodate my schedule because now I had to take a couple classes that were requirements for graduation in Missouri but they hadn't been in Arkansas. The options for classes that the school has are good ones. Two of my favorite classes were Anatomy and also Principles of Biomedical Sciences. I think that these classes were ones that lots of students wanted to take."

"The students are never deliberately mean, but there is a divide in race/ethnicity. White students hang out with white students, and then all the minorities hang with their own race or with another minority. For example, I'm Latina, but I didn't feel as accepted with my white peers as I did with my Asian friends. I feel like the school should work on this but it's tough because it comes down to each students choice as to who they want to hang out with. In my classes it was hard to make friends because often times, I was the only minority in the class. Mainly white students attended AP classes. The good thing about this school is that it is very accepting of LBGTQIA students and staff. We had a Gay Straight Alliance club and several LGBTQIA teachers, so I think the school does really good in this aspect."
