"I may have only been here for about a year, but I know so much about the school. Having sisters who are going to be seniors there, I have learned a lot... I learned that our sports may not be the best, but we aren't the worst either. Academically and diversity are probably Central's pride. I have helped with my sisters' stuff since they started and I have loved seeing how much involvement there is in the school. I enjoy seeing almost everyone get along. I just think this is the best school in Springfield honestly, I know people from other schools and have been to other schools in Springfield and surrounding cities, they are just ok, but that is also just me!"

"I love this school so much. I wasn't originally planning on attending, but I'm so happy that I did. The teachers all really care about you and your education, and the students all accept you no matter who you are."

"Its okay more diversity than most school. Its really crowded. And some of the teachers are perverted. Mr. Gillespie is rude to me and i havent done anything to him. Mr.White taught persinal finance and it was very difficult n i almost failed."

"I like the teachers here and the curriculum. The school has a lot of history and as a student it is fun to get to experience that history. One of the biggest issues is the emphasis on the IB program. This kind of pulls other students down. The administration should try to get more kids involved in the certificate program or create better advanced academic programs that are separate from IB."

"The academics at Central varied based on honors vs. non-honors classes. A lot of resources at the school were put into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program for juniors and seniors, the pre-IB honors program for freshmen and sophomores, and the Springfield Scholars Program (SSP, formerly Middle Years Scholars Program) for highly intelligent middle school students. From my experience the students in honors classes were often better behaved than the students in non-honors classes on the campus, and the classes better quality, although there were definite exceptions. I saw quite a bit of ethnic diversity in the school, but there was some degree of racial tension, and tension between different cliques, the latter of which is evident just about anywhere. There were some concerns about safety, although for me personally my anxieties were mainly regarding social inclusion rather than imminent threats to my wellbeing."
