"This school is unique in it's approach to learning. We believe that every student learns differently and the teachers give us many different options when working on projects and learning concepts."

"This school is the best thing that ever happened for our child. He has grown from a shy, introverted boy into a self confident leader in his class. He loves school and can't wait to get there every morning. The school makes learning fun while, at the same time, pushing the kids to levels of learning, understanding and retention that are beyond anything I have seen anywhere else. Parent's are extremely involved in the school, and the Board is very active and vision driven. It is the only Independent school in the area, not being affiliated with any church or university. The teaching style is progressive and offers differentiated learning according to the student's abilities, skills, and interests. The teachers truly inspire the joy of learning in the students and encourage them to be life long learners. In my opinion, it is the best school in Southwest Missouri."

"The Summit offers a totally unique to the area education experience. Students are challenged to their highest potential daily in all subjects through individual and class instruction. The Summit works to build students proficient in creative thinking and solution seeking strategies, group dynamics, communicating their ideas through written communication and public presentation. As a professional in Fortune 50 company, I know these skills are inherent to all future success. I love that the kids are building this vital foundation. Daily Spanish language and integration of foreign language into mainstream topics and classroom logistics is impressive. Music program is amazing and very inspiring for young ears. Our kids enjoy identifying instruments they hear in popular songs and both have new interest in playing. I also really agree with the apparent philosophy that the 7 hour school day is basically enough time for kids to focus on their regular school curriculum. The Summit offers lots of additional resources for kids interested in after school work, but required homework is minimal. Our kids have time after school to enjoy a after school theater or music mini class, read a book and both participate in sports or dance without being burdened with hours of homework. The Summit is a young school - just 10 years old this year. The faculty has been very solid and consistent but the administration and leadership has changed over time. The Summit head of school, Rob Gronniger, started in August of 2014 and brings 25+ years of global education background to the Summit. He has a strong sense of the organization seems to be a good fit for the school. I am excited to see the benefits of his leadership in coming years as the Summit grows to reach it's full enrollment potential."

"The students are involved in almost every aspect of the school. The peer pressure is positive pressure: to study and be prepared, to make good grades, to make the presentation the best it can be. This is a school where it is cool to be smart, to like math and science, to perform well in school. The students are very accepting of others and their differences. The teachers actually use student's differences as a learning opportunity, to help students understand others better, and to learn about different religions, cultures, races, political parties, personalities, etc. The Summit has a very supportive environment for all students."

"The Summit School student body represents a significant range of cultures, ethnic backgrounds and religions. I would struggle to find a more diverse playground for my first grader in Springfield, Missouri than that of her current class. I also have found that the smaller class size (18 for lower school K-5) fosters a family like bond between the kids. The students know each other well and they offer each other support and criticism like a brother or sister might. I have found our children to be very blind to the ethnic/racial diversity in their classes."
