"Shawnee Mission South is a great school of academics and wonderful teachers and staff. Everyone is extremely friendly, and there's always something you can do here to keep yourself busy. They also really prepare you and help you get ready for college which some schools have difficultly with."

"SM South is a fantastic school with motivated, caring teachers, great administrators, and amazing extracurricular activities. The teachers are always willing to help if the students put the effort forth. If I could change one thing, I would make South more of a community. Our population is extremely diverse, which is great, but the different groups of people don't have very much in common, so there isn't a lot of school spirit."

"I am currently a Sophomore at Shawnee Mission South High School and living the high school experience. Shawnee Mission South is the perfect high school to attend because it has an amazing diversity and an accepting atmosphere. Which is something I believe is very important during that 4 year transition between teenager and adult. Being in an environment such like South's is good for the future because you learn to accept and work with all different kinds of people which I believe is one of the most important things we can take from school."
