"This school is culturally diverse, but the students aren't very accepting toward people who are different than they are. Very homophobic aura coming off of this school, and even the teachers aren't very supportive of the gay youth attending the school. The academics are alright; they aren't the worst, but there are no AP or Honors classes due to the smaller size."

"Overall I would say that our school is very good at teaching education. However, I would like to see change is the sports teams focusing more on their education rather than just playing the sports. I would also like to see change is more attention towards the other clubs and extracurricular activities. Most of the time the clubs and extracurricular activities go to state and do well unlike the sports teams that don't make it pass the play offs."

"We learn a lot in even our core classes and the teachers always have something for us to do."

"I would choose to do go to this school again because of the unique experience. I don't like the fact that the parents can sometimes be kind of crappy to their kids, but that's expected at any public school and not just relative to Elkhart. It's a fun high school with diverse clubs for the small attendance."

"The teachers are engaging and very approachable. They know what they're doing and have the experience, knowledge, and capability to teach the classes so that their students understand what's going on. They have acceptable teaching habits and encourage student growth and participation in class without coddling anyone."
