"Teachers at North Star only want the best for the student. They try above and beyond for the student to better understand the material in class. Many teachers have unique teaching styles and how they grade may confuse a student. However, they explain why you received that grade and how you can grow more academically. Without the teachers at North Star I wouldn't be able to graduate a year earlier, their knowledge and support has given me hope into my future."

"The teachers are amazing and they do anything they can to help their students succeed. They're available after school, during lunch, and in the morning. They will answer your questions in class and any emails that you send. They get you into computer labs, assign a project every once in awhile, give the right about of homework, and let you get enough practice in class. They engage with students in class and do different things everyday. If you could visit and look at the teachers then you'd see how amazing they are. Most will make the class laugh with cheesy jokes and funny videos that of course relate to the subject. They keep the classroom positive. All the teachers genuinely care about each of their students and remind their students that it's a safe place and they're there to talk if needed to."

"The teachers at North Star are very knowledgeable, they introduce the curriculum clearly and throughly so that everyone can understand. The workload is a bit less than manageable but that might be because of AP classes and taking senior classes as a junior that is a bit hectic. However, the teachers are also very understanding and do acknowledge that we have other classes and work we still have to do. I am currently take Holocaust Literature which was praised but many of my friends who have already graduated and I'm so happy I listened to them and took it. It is a popular class among seniors and was ecstatic that I was able to be put into it."

"You take the required classes but they make sure to put you into classes that work best for you based on your grades and work ethic. You can email the counseling center at the beginning of the year and make a time to fix your schedule if you want to switch, add, take off a class, or get into an advanced class. You can also take several different classes for fun like cooking, wood shop, art, music, or a gym class. You can even take some classes that could benefit you if you're planning on going to college. The teachers offer to help you if you don't understand the subject and you can reach them before/after school and during lunch. The homework club is an amazing attempt at helping you finish your homework so you don't worry about it at home or forget and they can get you help on the subject if you don't understand the homework. They currently changed it to where the library is open longer so you can use the computers for homework if you don't have access to internet or a computer at home. The work isn't too hard but it also depends on your class and if you actually try to keep up with the assignments they send you. Most popular classes are probably the fun ones like pottery, photography, or even a wood shop class."

"North Star has an array of options that will appeal to any student. I did both Orchestra and Girl's Tennis and the amount of supporting parents grows year by year. At all the Tennis games, the parents would often show support not only to their child but to all the members of the team. In Orchestra parents would constantly be involved in concerts and events. This continues out to every activity and event at North Star. The school itself isn't unique, it is the students and teachers inside that are. I have never seen so much diversity and respect towards each other in other schools than in North Star. If I had to relive high school all over again... I wouldn't change anything."
