"If I could do it all over I would not because of the rules and the way that they go about enforcing them. They have this demerit system where if you break one of their simple rules, you earn a number of demerits, depending on the rule you broke. For example, if you do not wear the correct color socks to school, that is a total of 2 demerits and 12 total demerits will equal a detention."

"Teachers takes us through a process when we first start as a freshmen. During freshmen year we have less access to things and the way we should walk, but we gain more access as a scholar promote to the next grade level. In other words, during freshmen year we have a red line going up the hall dividing each side. one for going and coming, if yon step on the line or cross it you receive a demerit, the only way to get to the other side is to walk on the silver "bridge". A demerit is a reminder that helps you learn from your mistakes if you get about 6 you will have a 1 hour lunch detention or after school and so on. During jr. year the same thing applies, but you have a little more freedom where you can take while going to class. Same thing goes on during your sophomore year. Now a senior have all the freedom thats when the lines are removed, you can talk, have fun, and eat at the quad outside because during freshmen-sophomore year it teaches you things that one should know outside of school. They teach you how to talk to people of different culture and how to present yourself professionally in front of a large crowd. Overall, Sci Academy is an excellent school because it mainly prepare all scholars for college success no matter your background history, they care for all of us and answer late night texts or phone calls no matter the issue. Teachers there care about our education and want more for us then anything."

"There were many distinct groups of students but many stood with their own race. There was a mixture of about 30% openly gay/lesbian/bi students. Most students got along with others."

"I feel as if for me personally this school has not successfully prepared me for college like it promised to do. I think that Sci focused on the less important but very tiny details that are not issues you would face in college. I think they could have done a better job with incorporating college "like" techniques to give students a better feel for the real college world."
