"it was unique for me because I got to walk the same halls as my mother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings. So, it was very traditional for me. My favorite experiences would have to come from playing sports and building bonds with my teammates. I would not choose this school if I had to go back because the faculty pick and choose the students they are willing to help."

"they are very helping to the people they want to help. Some teachers will go out there way to help their students and others just show up to get a pay check every two weeks."

"Some teachers are excellent at caring for their students and help struggling students. These teachers are usually consistent in grading practices and have respect for student ideas. This can be easily determined by their leadership and control of their classrooms. These teachers are very knowledgeable and, where available, they incorporate technology into the classrooms. Unfortunately there are more teachers who seem to be there to receive a paycheck and do not want to be in contact with students outside the classroom. If a student does not understand directions or requirements for an assignment, they must rely on outside assistance. My own personal experience has been fortunate to include many of the former teachers with just a few of the later. Having a 3.8 to 4.0 GPA for many years, I have been able to succeed with both."

"Personally, I am of a shy nature. During my four years at Altus High School I have been an avid participant in art both in school and outside. I have enjoyed a good relationship with all the teachers whose classes I attended and several who never taught me. Fellow students have been friendly and welcoming for the most part and I enjoyed my high school experience on a whole; though, I welcome graduation and the beginning of the next phase of my education at a college level."

"It's not impressive at all, only the basic classes. Oklahoma isn't hiring more teachers so we are losing a lot of our teachers already. All if not most of the funding the school gets goes to the football team and not the classes or other extra curriculum."
