"This school is about your last name and what your background is if you don't have lots of money you are treated differently. But all in all three of my children have gone to elk city public schools and they a striving very well."

"There are some parts of this school that I really love; other parts I despise. Some of the teachers are the most incredible people you will ever meet; some teachers I hope never teach any of my family because dealing with them was like ripping teeth out (and I love learning!) The opportunities for advanced classes surpasses most schools in the area, but the classes are bogged down by people who shouldn't be in them. Like every school you just have to take the good with the bad."

"This school is awful when it comes to cliques. If you don't fit into their definition of what you should be, forget hanging out with them. Very few people hang in the middle where they interact with everybody. Most people stick to their group and trying to branch out is not a good idea at all."
