"Within my last two years of attending Salina High School, I have realized that the teachers do more than they are paid to do.They get to know the students, know somewhat about their personal lives, and attempt to work with them in difficult situations. Throughout my junior year, I have had superior teachers who have exceeded my expectations. My grades improved significantly, even though they were pretty good in the first place. Even though all the budget cuts were hard on everybody, Salina High School stepped up and become better."

"I've grown up here, but I wouldn't put my children here for school. It is almost like they hire any teacher, and no matter what the students complain about, because the teacher is not helping them, rude to them, etc... They do not get fired, and trust me, they should. Overall, you can deal with it, but I wouldn't if I had less of a tolerance for ignorant people."

"Salina HS is very unique because it is a tight-knit community with fairly diverse people. That being said, it is not a very good school, because there is simply not enough funding. There are quite a few kids from different towns, and the class sizes are increasing every year. There is simply not enough space to accommodate so many kids, so there is a shortage of both teachers and classrooms."

"I had a good experience at this school, it is a very small school so it has a family feel to it which is awesome. The only thing i did not like about this school was that the level of education isn't where it should be, i was not prepared for college. The school is small and does not have a lot of money so certain classes were not available to the student, classes that would have better prepared science majors for college. I would not choose this school if i had to do it all over again just because i would want to better prepare my self if given a second chance."
