"I like that Gunter is a small town, and that is reflected in the school. The only problems I have with this school district is they're more worried about football than anything else (as demonstrated in their cutting the art program to hire more football coaches) and the administration is extremely political and do things to benefit themselves. Getting a new superintendent in recent years has alleviated some of that, but the problems still persist. Other than those two problems, the academics are great and the high school itself is amazing."

"I would like to see teachers care more about their students passing. I would like for there to be more diversity, right now the school rarely accepts transfers. I like how the school is really into sports but the academics need improvement. Some teachers work with you, some teachers don't care and don't even teach."

"There are some teachers that aren't very likable, but it's the same with any other school; you've got your favorites and your not-so-favorite teachers. Overall, Gunter High School is an excellent school and I would highly recommend it to anyone who was wanting to move here. Our principal and our teachers genuinely care about the students and it shows."

"Excellent... No matter what drama is going on between students, our academics always come out on top"

"We don't have very many Aftican American students, however, we do have many Hispanic students from very diverse homes and a few Asian students. Our school remains to be predominantly white, unfortunately"
